As with most pests there are many different species, from House flies, Cluster fly, Fruit fly, Blowfly, Horsefly and many, many more.
Flies spread disease fast and breed and adapt even faster.
Cluster flies seek refuge in cold weather and find their way into attic spaces and similar areas indoors. They often emerge on warm days, and cluster at windows attempting to exit.
House flies are the most common fly species found in houses. Adults are grey to black, with four dark, longitudinal lines on the thorax, slightly hairy bodies, and a single pair of membranous wings. They have red eyes, set farther apart in the slightly larger female.
Fruit flies (Drosophila) are referred to as a pest due to its tendency to live in human settlements, where fermenting fruit is found. Flies may collect in homes, restaurants, stores, pubs and other locations.
